The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh (DSAP) focuses its activities on three core service areas, Advocacy/Awareness, Education, and Family Support. Advocacy/Awareness efforts include the annual Buddy Walk, the annual Golf outing, and other public events intended to promote the beauty of people with Down syndrome.  Our education efforts involve the preparation of informational packets for new parents and physicians, informational packets presented to government organizations, and a website that contains other educational content. Family support services activities represent our most important effort and are intended to support families from birth through their lifetime. Our primary activity is the annual support of the Down Syndrome Center and adults at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC (for children) and UPMC Montefiore Hospital (for adults).

We are a completely volunteer organization.  The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh is a group of parents and professionals who give their time and energy to support loved ones with Down syndrome.  We depend on the generous gifts of time and donations for the events which we use to support families and caregivers in the Pittsburgh area.  We encourage you to consider lending a hand to help us continue to improve the lives of all people with Down syndrome.

Please use the volunteer registration form at the right to lend your time to a specific event, to propose a new activity, or to offer your general help with the activities of DSAP.
