A camp for athletes with Down syndrome who love football.
The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh was proud to support the 1st Annual Football Camp for the Stars, a program for athletes with Down syndrome who love football! Sponsored by Thomas Jefferson and Woodland Hills High Schools, this Football Camp for young men with Down syndrome, ages 15 to 30, was held on Thursday, June 24 and Friday, June 25, at Thomas Jefferson High School Stadium in Pleasant Hills. Players from both schools joined coaches and organizers as they helped 26 young men with Down syndrome in a football camp with a pro flavor. News articles listed below highlighted the learning and fun had by all. We thank everyone involved for their generous work, and especially the Tomsula family for their work in bringing the Camp to reality.
